SPEAKER 1: Introducing Quick Phrases,
a new feature that lets you skip saying "hey, Google" when
getting help with some everyday tasks like setting an alarm
Just go to Quick Phrases in your phone's Assistant settings
and select the commands you'd like to add.
Now, instead of needing to say "hey,
Google" for those requests, you can just
SPEAKER 1: Designed with your privacy in mind,
Google Assistant will wait in standby mode
until it detects an activation, which now includes any Quick
Phrases you choose to turn on.
SPEAKER 2: Set an alarm for 7:00 AM.
SPEAKER 1: When in standby mode, Assistant
won't send what you were saying to Google or anyone else.
Plus, Quick Phrases requires Voice Match--
SPEAKER 3: Turn off the lights.
SPEAKER 1: --which lets users personalize their Assistant
experience by selecting the Quick Phrases
that they'll find most useful.
